Due to complex user needs and a significant increase in the volume of Service Users, Randstad are keen to recruit experienced Support Workers for contracts beginning in July in Lurgan/Banbridge/Gilford. The successful candidates will provide assistance to users within the services of Adult Disability in a day centre environment.

Requirements

  • NISCC registration essential
  • GCSE English and Maths (C or above or equivalent)
  • NVQ Level 2 Health & Social Care desirable
  • Willingness to undergo an Enhanced Access NI check essential
  • Minimum 12 months previous Support Work experience essential
  • Immunisation records fully up to date
  • Previous experience within a day centre or residential healthcare setting highly desirable
  • Ability to build rapport
  • Strong interaction and engagement skills
  • Caring and compassionate approach
  • Ability to work in fast paced user centric environment

Responsibilities

  • Provide daily assistance to the management team within a Day Centre environment
  • Interact and develop caring & professional relationships with all Service Users
  • Engagement with users which may be non verbal
  • Full involvement in the planning & execution of therapeutic activities
  • Mobility assistance
  • Assisting with meals, feeding and hydration
  • Toileting & personal care if required
  • Basic administration and reporting
