Randstad has an opportunity available for experienced Welder/ Fabricator to work within practical workshops at Belfast Metropolitan College based in Hydebank Prison or Millfield Campus. The post holder will be responsible for the training, assessment and support of apprentices and learners in their specialist vocational area. You will manage a caseload of learners both in college and in the workplace, delivering high-quality training and ensuring all assessment activities meet awarding body standards.

Requirements
- Hold a relevant vocational qualification (e.g., NVQ Level 3/ NVQ Level 5) in your specialist area.
- Candidates who hold a recognised assessor award would be highly desired.
- Have a minimum of two years' industrial or commercial experience in your vocational area, gained after completing your apprenticeship or qualification.
- Possess prior experience of delivering training to others highly desired.
- Have access to a car for travel to various work sites across Northern Ireland.
- Candidates will be subject to enhanced vetting / compliance checks including an Enhanced Access NI check due to the nature of this work, this may include a Barred List check for both Children & Vulnerable Adults (depending on the role).
Responsibilities
- To train, assess and manage a caseload of learners on programmes within your area of expertise.
- To deliver high-quality, engaging training sessions and conduct workplace assessments.
- To monitor, review and track learner progress against planned targets, providing regular feedback and support.
- To ensure all assessment activities are conducted in strict accordance with awarding body standards and regulations.
- To maintain accurate and up-to-date learner records, including assessment documentation and reviews.
- To build and maintain strong relationships with employers to support the apprenticeship and learning process.
- To effectively prepare learners for formal assessments and the successful completion of their qualifications.
