Randstad has an opportunity available for a qualified plumber to join the team at Belfast Metropolitan College. The ideal candidate will work across the college estate to deliver maintenance and ensure a safe environment.

Requirements

  • NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in a Mechanical, Plumbing or Heating trade
  • GCSE Maths and English Grade C and above or equivalent (with evidence)
  • 1 years' experience in a maintenance or plumbing role is highly desirable
  • Access to transport to travel between college sites
  • Available for an immediate start pending checks
  • Candidates will be subject to enhanced vetting / compliance checks including an Enhanced Access NI check due to the nature of this work, this may include a Barred List check for both Children & Vulnerable Adults (depending on the role)

Responsibilities

  • Perform planned maintenance and repairs
  • Inspect and maintain boilers and heating systems
  • Diagnose faults and resolve equipment breakdowns
  • Assist with winter maintenance such as snow clearance and gritting
  • Manage stock levels and identify required parts for repairs
  • Log defects and maintenance records accurately
