My client, a leader in their field are looking for an experienced AWS Cloud Security Engineer to join a dynamic team supporting our client’s cloud infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience working with AWS Cloud Security, Terraform, and AWS DevOps tools. A financial services background in banking would be advantageous. The role involves securing cloud-based environments, automating infrastructure management, and integrating security best practices in a cloud-native setting.

THIS ROLE IS INSIDE IR35, * Design, implement, and manage security controls for AWS-based environments.

  • Develop and maintain automated infrastructure using Terraform.

  • Collaborate with DevOps teams to integrate security within the CI/CD pipeline using tools like ArgoCD.

  • Monitor and respond to security incidents, providing support on cloud security architecture and configuration.

  • Ensure security best practices for AWS services and manage cloud resources securely.

  • Work with the team to implement and improve security policies, procedures, and tooling.

  • Deploy and manage Cilium for secure microservices networking within Kubernetes environments.

  • Continuously evaluate security risks and vulnerabilities, providing solutions to mitigate them.

  • Stay updated on the latest cloud security trends and AWS security updates.

  • Strong experience with AWS Cloud Security (IAM, VPC, Security Groups, KMS, CloudTrail, etc.).

  • Proficiency in Terraform for automating infrastructure provisioning.

  • Hands-on experience with AWS DevOps tools such as CodePipeline, CodeDeploy, and CloudFormation.

  • In-depth knowledge of Cilium for securing microservices in Kubernetes environments.

  • Familiarity with ArgoCD for continuous deployment and GitOps practices.

  • Solid understanding of cloud security frameworks, compliance standards, and vulnerability management.

  • Experience in building and deploying security-focused solutions in a cloud-native environment.

  • Financial services background, * Certification in AWS (e.g., AWS Certified Security Specialty, AWS Certified Solutions Architect).

  • Experience with Kubernetes and container security.

  • Familiarity with monitoring and logging solutions (e.g., CloudWatch, Prometheus, Grafana).
