Job Description
Job Title: UNIX/WAS Engineer
Location: Mostly Remote
Type of employment: 12 months Contract
Generic Responsibilities:
- Application and environment setup and ownership
- Custom code and data deployment
- Application maintenance and housekeeping
- Technical shakedown and project support
- Build and configuration management
- Backup and restore operations
- Continuous improvement initiatives
- Weekly metric reporting and timescale management
- Environment user access and administration
- Review of project inputs
- First-level environment defect resolution
- Identification and escalation of risks and issues
- Setup and action EMERald tasks for project deployments and EMER environment maintenance
- Maintenance of RACF groups for Testing Services
Unix Specific Responsibilities:
- Execution of Unix components within integrated test environments
- Definition and maintenance of processes for:
- Unix environment build
- Deployment of project deliverables
- Test environment support
