About the Role
We are looking for an experienced SAP Payroll & HCM Consultant to lead a critical system separation project. Acting as the primary bridge between our internal business units and our external payroll vendor, you will be instrumental in creating new Legal Entities (LEs) and enabling separate end-to-end (E2E) payroll runs for distinct business groups within our legacy system. If you have a deep understanding of ECC Payroll, Time Management, and cross-functional integrations, this is an excellent opportunity to take ownership of a complex, high-impact implementation.
What You Will Do
- Requirement Gathering & Translation: Partner with local business teams to gather payroll and compliance requirements, translating them into clear functional specifications for our external payroll vendor.
- Vendor & Build Oversight: Supervise the payroll vendor's product build, ensuring everything aligns with the Blueprint document and local regulatory/compliance standards.
- Integration Management: Ensure seamless data flow and integration between Workday (WD), General Ledger (GL), banking systems, and HR/Time platforms.
- Testing & Quality Assurance: Design E2E test scenarios, define expected results, and guide data mining efforts to ensure flawless payroll execution.
- Defect Resolution: Act as the primary Subject Matter Expert (SME) and point of contact for any defects or issues during implementation, providing root-cause analysis and rapid solutions.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with HR, Finance, and IT teams to manage handoffs, resolve interdependencies, and keep the project moving forward.
What We Are Looking For
- Mandatory: Deep, hands-on expertise in SAP ECC Payroll & Time Management.
- Experience: Proven track record in payroll system implementations and steady-state support.
- Technical Acumen: Advanced knowledge of payroll system capabilities, limitations, and how data integrates across HR, Time, and Finance platforms.
- Analytical Skills: Strong ability to conduct root-cause analysis, mine data, and develop comprehensive E2E testing scenarios.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written English skills, with the ability to facilitate meetings, present technical solutions to non-technical stakeholders, and write clear user stories/tech specs.
