Engineering Project Manager

Randstad Digital have partnered up with a large defence sector client seeking an experienced and proactive Project Manager. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing the successful delivery of complex projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality and safety standards.
The Role
As a Project Manager, you will be the primary point of contact for the customer and will be responsible for managing all project-related communications and changes. You will develop and implement realistic project plans, track progress, and provide monthly reports on financial status and progress. A key part of your role will be assessing and actively managing project risks. You'll also be responsible for the day-to-day management of your project team, including conducting appraisals and setting objectives.
About You
The ideal candidate will have the following core skills and attributes:
- A results-driven individual with strong multitasking abilities.
- A competent user of Microsoft Project and Excel.
- Familiarity with Product Development Lifecycle and design phase-gate processes
- Excellent communication skills to liaise with stakeholders at all levels.
- A recognised Project Management qualification (such as APMP) is beneficial.
- Knowledge of the IT Defence Industry is beneficial.
- An understanding of Earned Value Management would be beneficial.
- The ability to obtain UK security clearance and a full driving license are essential.
