Title: Technical Sales Engineer Location: Remote / Hybrid (Office Base: Reading) Shifts: Monday – Friday, 37.5 Salary: Circa £35,000 – £40,000 + up to 20% Commission (OTE £45k) Benefits & Additions: Remote Working, Flexible Hours, 25 days holiday, The Company: We are a prominent provider of test and measurement solutions for engineers and scientists across the Globe. For over 20 years we\’ve been an authorized distributor of National Instruments and offer a range of instrumentation, educational laboratories, and value-added services from leading global providers. We are looking for a technical sales representative who can manage new potential customers and collaborate across departments to improve sales enablement. The ideal candidate will be a high-performer who can efficiently and quickly provide reliable support to both management and the field sales team. Responsibilities: Proactively identify and develop new sales opportunities for the Field Sales team, focusing on expanding our customer base through targeted prospecting and outbound lead generation. Respond promptly and professionally to technical sales inquiries and new leads. You\’ll be responsible for following up on all highly qualified leads to move them through the sales pipeline. Work closely with the Field Sales team to understand their challenges and provide essential sales enablement support, including supplier documentation, quotes, and pitch materials. Serve as a primary point of contact for customers, addressing their questions, concerns, and feedback in a positive, concise, and empathetic manner, escalating issues internally when necessary. Collaborate with the Regional Sales Director and marketing team to review company resources and develop effective customer communication plans. Ensure all customer relationship management CRM data (preferably in Salesforce) and administrative tasks are accurate and up-to-date Requirements: A Bachelor\’s degree in engineering or a strong technical background in electronics. Experience in pre-sales or after-sales support for technical products. Excellent communication skills. The ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
