Do you hold substantial experience within the Heavy Industry Automotive and/or Petrochemical sectors? Would you consider yourself a subject matter expert on asset management and standardisation within Manufacturing? Are you based in or around Wales? We have a Permanent Asset Management Optimisation Manager position available within Tata Steel. This presents the opportunity to be part of historic UK infrastructure projects. This role is ideal for someone with profound systems and production optimisation experience within a Heavy industry environment as well as Lean/Six Sigma knowledge and experience.
Location: Tata Steel, Port Talbot Works, Port Talbot, Swansea, SA13 2NG (100% site based)
Rate: Competitive and based upon experience
Responsibilities:
- Reporting to the Director of Engineering, leading the development and deployment of the maintenance strategy.
- Performing analysis on the company asset management framework (CAMF) and developing improvement initiatives and best practices.
- Deploying policies on asset integrity within the business nationwide.
- Ensuring the above to safeguard the licence to operate.
- Liaising with internal stakeholders within the central team and manufacturing sites.
- Developing processes, defining metrics and providing additional education and support to stakeholders.
- Being the subject matter expert for PPM, Strategic asset management and condition based maintenance.
Essential requirements:
- Due to the nature of the sites, Full UK Driving Licence and access to own vehicle.
- Experience and knowledge in maintenance, asset management and improvement methods, including new developments within Manufacturing.
- Understanding of Asset Management Systems based on ISO55000.
- Experienced in assessing or auditing (maintenance) work processes within a Manufacturing or Heavy Industry environment.
- Excellent communicator at all levels, ability to act as a respected advisor / consultant engineer, cooperating with various organizational layers.
- Strong standardization and document management skill.
- Eagerness to work in an international environment, including some traveling Nationwide and potentially abroad.
- Ability to confidently deliver courses in the area of your expertise.
