Oracle DBA Contract: HaaS Solutions Specialist
Location: Birmingham or Sheffield, UK (Hybrid – 3 days/week)
Type: 6-Month Contract with potential extension
Payrate: Circa 300 – 365/day Inside IR35
The Role
We need an experienced, self-starting Oracle DBA to take ownership of key components within our Hardware as a Service (HaaS) solutions. This 6-month contract role is perfect for a specialist who thrives on solution design, deep-dive data analysis, and delivering robust, high-quality technical outputs from initial design through to deployment.
Key Focus
- Design & Development: Lead the design and implementation of HaaS solution components, ensuring alignment with security and architecture standards.
- Quality & Testing: Own the full testing lifecycle (unit, feasibility, component) and conduct technical peer reviews.
- Problem Solving: Identify and resolve routine and complex issues, introducing new components or features as needed.
- Collaboration: Work independently while effectively pairing with the team to define and manage software environments.
Must-Haves
- Proven expertise as an Oracle Database Administrator (DBA).
- Strong skills in SQL, PL/SQL, Performance Tuning, and RMAN (Backup & Recovery).
- Experience in Solution Design and deep data analysis.
- Familiarity with or direct experience in HaaS environments.
