Multiskilled Maintenance Engineer
Location: Tilbury, Essex
Salary: Circa 50,000 + per annum with an extensive benefits package
Shifts: Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM (plus a 1 in 6 on-call rotation)

The Role & Candidate
We\’re looking for a collaborative, proactive engineer with extensive experience in a fast-paced FMCG environment. The role is focused on planned maintenance and system improvements, not just reactive breakdowns. You\’ll be responsible for troubleshooting and repairing both mechanical and electrical faults on a variety of equipment, including PLCs, three-phase motors, and controls. You must be forward-thinking, a great team player, and have a positive, \”can-do\” attitude.
Requirements
- Significant Experience: Several years in an FMCG or food production environment.
- Formal Qualification: Completed an on-site apprenticeship or hold a Level 3 NVQ, HNC, HND, or equivalent.
- Electrical Expertise: Proficient in electrical troubleshooting with automated systems and holds a 17th or 18th Edition certification (or equivalent electrical ability).
- Fault-Finding: Highly competent in repairing a wide range of production equipment.
