You will shape and own the end-to-end Enterprise Architecture for BT Business, ensuring our technology vision, strategic platforms, and architectural principles directly support the commercial objectives of BT Business. This includes defining future-state architectures, establishing transition pathways, and ensuring alignment to Group Architecture standards and guardrails.
What you will lead
As the Enterprise Architecture authority for BT Wholesale, you will drive architectural decision-making across the domain, working in close collaboration with the broader BT Architecture community, Digital Delivery Tribes, and Wholesale business and technology leadership. You will ensure that BT Wholesale's strategic direction is technically sound, cost-effective, and aligned to enterprise-wide strategies and roadmaps.
Supporting solution delivery and runways
While primarily enterprise-focused, the role also provides leadership and support across Solution Architecture activities, especially where:
- elaboration is needed to prepare architectural runways ahead of delivery,
- solution patterns must be aligned to enterprise direction,
- pragmatic, agile-friendly design decisions are required to accelerate speed and simplify delivery.
You will work with Tribe Solution Architects to ensure that solution-level designs remain consistent with the strategic target architecture, providing governance, guidance, and hands-on directional support as required.
Mandatory:
- 5 years+ experience in a senior architecture role.
- Experience of architecting from roadmap into blueprints and driving delivery aligned to architecture of Digital capabilities, Business Interaction Management ecosystems.
- Experience of using TMF APIs and data models.
- Very strong stakeholder management experience from junior developer through to CEO.
- Experience creating roadmaps for a 'domain' that can tell both the technical, commercial and business impacts.
Preferred:
- Experience of Agile planning, SAFE framework.
- TOGAF certified.
