A top-tier firm is seeking an experienced Data Quality & Platform Engineer to shape, govern, and optimise core data environments for a high-profile enterprise client. In this pivotal role, you will go beyond simple pipeline building. You will be responsible for defining how data flows across heterogeneous sources, establishing durable data quality controls, mapping end-to-end lineage, and ensuring datasets are highly reliable, auditable, and performance-tuned.
What You Will Do
- Design, build, and maintain preventive, detective, and corrective DQ controls (profiling, rule definition, thresholding, automated alerting, and root-cause remediation).
- Craft complex SQL transformations, optimise query performance, handle advanced window functions, and design conformed dimensional models for curated platform layers.
- Map end-to-end data flows from ingestion to serving, defining upstream/downstream contracts and data ownership boundaries.
- Architect robust batch and streaming pipelines capable of handling CDC concepts, late-arriving data, incremental loads, and rerun safety.
- Drive pipeline health monitoring, logging-driven diagnoses, and automated reconciliation checks to triage and remediate issues when data products break.
- Establish pragmatic operating frameworks for DQ issue intake, prioritisation, validation, and sustainment.
