We are seeking a highly experienced Data Architect to lead the design and delivery of enterprise-scale cloud data platforms using AWS, Databricks, and MongoDB. In this role, you will drive cloud data strategies and data modernization initiatives for major players in the UK Insurance and Financial Services sectors.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Define and execute enterprise data architecture and cloud data strategies.
  • Design scalable Lakehouse architectures utilizing AWS and Databricks.
  • Develop robust conceptual, logical, and physical data models.
  • Lead data modernization and cloud migration projects.
  • Establish best-in-class frameworks for data governance, security, lineage, and quality.
  • Collaborate effectively with business leaders, engineering teams, and executive stakeholders.
  • Mentor data engineers and technical project teams.

Required Skills & Domain Expertise:

  • Mandatory Technical Skills: Extensive background in Data Architecture, AWS, Databricks, and MongoDB.

  • Regulatory Knowledge: Strong familiarity with FCA & PRA Regulations, and Solvency II Reporting.
