Warehouse Picker - Caerphilly in Llanbradach

Role: Warehouse Picker Location: Catnic, Pontypandy Industrial Estate, Caerphilly CF83 3GL, United Kingdom Rate: £13.54 Per hour Contract length: 6–12 months initially with the view to extend Shift Patterns: Monday to Friday: 7:00am – 3:00pm (30-minute lunch break) 39.5 hours per week Start: ASAP but pending the successful completion of a medical assessment, which does include a Drug and Alcohol test Responsibilities: * Accurately pick, scan, and prepare customer orders for dispatch as part of the new Catnic Express 24-hour service. * Use handheld barcode scanning equipment to identify, locate, and record stock movements. * Load, unload, move, and store materials safely within the outdoor yard areas. * Operate Forklift Trucks (Counterbalance and/or Reach) in accordance with safety standards (where licensed and authorized). * Conduct stock checks and assist with inventory accuracy activities. * Ensure products are handled carefully to prevent damage and maintain a clean, safe working environment. * Follow all health and safety procedures, wear required PPE, and report any stock discrepancies or safety concerns promptly. Essential requirements: * Previous experience in a warehouse, yard, distribution, manufacturing, or logistics environment. * Basic literacy and numeracy skills, with a strong focus on accuracy and attention to detail. * Experience using handheld barcode scanning devices or warehouse management systems. * Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions and performing physically demanding tasks (lifting, bending, carrying). * Reliable, punctual, and adaptable with strong communication skills and a team-player attitude. * Desirable: Valid Counterbalance and/or Reach Truck FLT licence.
