The Opportunity
We are looking for a sharp, detail-oriented Data Business Systems Analyst to join a flagship data transformation initiative for a global leader in Investment Management. This role sits at the intersection of business strategy and technical execution, acting as the vital link between investment professionals and data engineering teams.
The Role
You won’t just be gathering requirements; you will be the "data detective" ensuring the integrity of our financial platforms. You will dive deep into SQL databases, map complex data flows, and translate high-level business needs into technical blueprints that drive reporting and downstream analytics.
Key Responsibilities
- Requirements Engineering: Lead workshops with Product Owners and Stakeholders to document functional specs and User Stories within the BFS/Capital Markets domain.
- Data Mapping: Define Source-to-Target Mappings (STM) and logic for ETL pipelines and Data Warehouses.
- Data Validation: Use advanced SQL to perform root-cause analysis, data profiling, and reconciliation to ensure high data quality.
- Stakeholder Management: Act as the primary bridge between Data Engineering, MDM, and QA teams to ensure delivery aligns with business intent.
Your Profile
- Experience: 6+ years as a Data/Business Systems Analyst, specifically within Financial Services, Asset Management, or Capital Markets.
- Technical Edge: Mastery of SQL is non-negotiable. You should be comfortable querying complex datasets for validation and investigation.
- Domain Knowledge: Solid understanding of Investment data (Trades, Reference Data, Client Data, or Risk).
- Methodology: Proven experience in Agile/Scrum environments.
- Communication: Ability to explain technical data concepts to non-technical business users clearly.
Nice to Have
- Experience with Cloud platforms (AWS preferred).
- Knowledge of Master Data Management (MDM) or Regulatory Reporting.
