Role: One-to-one tutoring for students aged 4-15.
Subjects: Maths, Science, and English, covering all key stages.
Setting: Face-to-face tutoring in the student's home.
Hours: 30 hours per week, working 9am - 5pm, Monday - Friday. This includes 3 hours of tutoring per day for each child.
Contract Length: Long term (ideally the full academic year).
Key Responsibilities & Expectations
- Deliver high-quality, personalised tutoring sessions.
- Conduct a baseline assessment in the initial meeting to inform session planning.
- Plan lessons (PPA time is provided).
- Work with students who may have an EHC Plan (Education Health Care Plan). SEN specialists are ideally sought.
- Ensure a parent/guardian is always present in the home during the session.
Requirements
- Minimum of UK school/teacher/SEN experience.
- Must hold an Enhanced DBS (or be willing to obtain one).
- Must provide a minimum of two years of professional references.
- Completion of online training modules (e.g., safeguarding & health & safety).
