Randstad is actively seeking dedicated individuals to join our team as Exam Support Workers. This vital role involves providing indispensable assistance to university students during their examinations, ensuring they have the necessary support to access and complete their assessments successfully. If you possess strong note-taking abilities and exceptional communication skills, this is an outstanding opportunity to make a significant impact.

Key Responsibilities

  • Clearly articulate examination questions to students.
  • Repeat questions as requested by students to ensure comprehension.
  • Accurately record student responses during examinations as a scribe.
  • Ensure all written or typed responses are clear and precise.
  • Maintain impeccable standards of spelling, grammar, and punctuation.
  • Strictly adhere to all examination protocols and regulations.
  • Become familiar with university building layouts and room designations.
  • Uphold student confidentiality, professionalism, and respect at all times.
  • Maintain professional boundaries throughout your engagement.

Qualifications

  • Hold a degree, an equivalent qualification, or be in the final years of your degree program.
  • Completion of disability support training (provided by Randstad).
  • Completion of an e-learning suite (provided by Randstad).
  • Neat handwriting and the ability to transcribe verbal responses accurately.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Exceptional command of the English language, including spelling, grammar, punctuation, and structure.
  • Meticulous attention to detail.
  • Demonstrated flexibility and punctuality.
  • Good organizational capabilities.
  • Subject-specific knowledge is advantageous.
  • Previous experience within a Higher Education setting.
  • Experience supporting disabled adults.
  • Understanding of barriers faced by disabled individuals in higher education.
  • Awareness of safeguarding principles and suitability to work with learners aged 16+.
  • Immediate availability desired.
