Not all learning happens inside a traditional classroom. For children in care who are currently outside of mainstream education, school can feel like a distant, overwhelming concept. At Randstad, we believe these young people don't just need a teacher - they need a consistent, reliable anchor. We are looking for experienced SEND Support Professionals to work 1:1 with children who have complex Special Educational Needs and Disabilities, providing the stability and tailored support they need to re-engage and thrive.

What a Typical Day Looks Like:

  • Tailoring the Approach: Supporting children with a variety of needs (including ASD, ADHD, Speech & Language difficulties, and Global Development Delay) using creative, sensory, and practical methods.
  • Building a Safe Space: Establishing a stable, predictable, and nurturing daily routine that helps reduce anxiety and builds trust.
  • Breaking Down Barriers: Finding unique ways to make learning accessible, even when the student is having a tough day.
  • Team Collaboration: Working alongside multidisciplinary teams and social care professionals to make sure the child's holistic needs are being met.

What You'll Bring to the Team:

  • Real-World Experience: A proven track record of supporting children or young people with complex SEND.
  • The Right Tools: Qualifications like a Level 3 TA, Makaton, PECS, or Team Teach are a massive plus - but your actual experience and mindset are what matter most.
  • Deep Understanding: You know how to recognise triggers, de-escalate challenging moments, and see the communication behind the behaviour.
  • The Perfect Balance: Immense patience, a genuinely warm heart, and the strong professional boundaries needed to keep the environment safe and secure.

Why Join Randstad?

  • Competitive weekly pay to reward your hard work.
  • Free CPD training opportunities to help you add new skills to your toolkit.
