We are currently seeking a dedicated and professional Study Skills Tutor (SpLD) to provide high-quality academic support. In this role, you will play a vital part in empowering students with Specific Learning Differences (SpLD) to reach their full potential through tailored strategies and guidance.

Responsibilities

  • Provide one-to-one study skills support to students with SpLD, focusing on personal learning styles.
  • Assist students in developing effective time management, organisation, and academic writing techniques.
  • Support the development of strategies to overcome specific learning barriers in a higher education context.
  • Maintain accurate and professional records of student progress and session outcomes.
  • Collaborate with academic departments to ensure support remains aligned with student requirements.

Qualifications

  • Relevant professional qualification in SpLD (e.g., Level 7 qualification) and membership with a relevant professional body (e.g., PATOSS, BDA, ADSHE).
  • Demonstrable experience in supporting students with SpLD within an educational setting.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to foster a supportive and professional learning environment.
  • Strong organisational skills and commitment to meeting quality assurance standards.
