About the Role
We are seeking an experienced, highly adaptable, and qualified educator to deliver bespoke, 1-2-1 in-person tuition for a Year 8 student in Peterborough. This student has complex special educational needs (SEN) and Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) challenges, including ADHD, ADD, and severe OCD. Due to OCD-related anxieties, the student cannot physically touch learning materials (such as pens, pencils, or laptops). You will be responsible for delivering a tailored KS3 curriculum (Science, Maths, and English) completely through verbal dialogue, visual aids, and interactive discussion, removing the need for traditional written work.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver Verbal-First Learning: Adapt all lessons to be entirely verbal and visual. Use high-level questioning, oral modeling, and discussion to assess and capture learning without requiring the student to write or type.
- Core Subject Delivery: Teach KS3 Science, English, and Maths, tailoring content to meet the individual needs of the student.
