Location: University of Essex
Rate of Pay: £28 per hour + £3.38 accrued holiday pay
Contract: Part-time, with flexible hours
Start Date: September 2026 (for the new 2026/2027 Academic Year)

Your Specialist Role & Key Impact:
Your primary goal is to foster independent learning by supporting students to:
- Develop independence and build on their learning strengths.
- Create essential strategies for organisation and time management.
- Formulate action plans to successfully stay on track with studies.
- Build on crucial research skills, including widening knowledge, distinguishing appropriate sources, and correctly using references.
- Enhance reading and writing comprehension skills.
You are expected to act professionally, maintain confidentiality, and address any student concerns in a timely manner.
Mandatory Qualification Requirements:
This is a specialist, Disabled Students Allowance (DSA) funded role. Candidates must adhere strictly to the qualification framework set out by the Department for Education (DfE).
You MUST possess the below qualifications as a minimum:
- An Undergraduate Degree (Level 6 minimum) along with a Professional Membership.
