Randstad Student Support is recruiting qualified Specialist Study Skills Support Workers to deliver tailored, one-to-one academic support to university and college students with Specific Learning Difficulties (SpLDs) across Scotland.

This hybrid role offers exceptional flexibility, combining online delivery with essential face-to-face sessions on local campuses to suit student needs.

About the Role
/n
As a Specialist Study Skills Support Worker, you will deliver individualised learning support designed to foster confidence and long-term academic independence. You will work with students to:
/n
/n
- Develop Academic Independence: Assist with organisation, time management, and personalised action plans.
/n
- Enhance Learning Strategies: Help students leverage their unique strengths and adapt tailored study methods.
/n
- Strengthen Research & Writing: Guide students in source critical analysis, proper referencing, academic comprehension, and structured writing techniques.
/n

Key Requirements
/n
To provide support funded via SAAS / Disabled Student's Allowance (DSA) in Scotland, candidates must hold an eligible professional membership level with one of the following recognized bodies:
/n
/n
- British Dyslexia Association (BDA)
/n
- Association of Dyslexia Specialists in Higher Education (ADSHE)
/n
- Dyslexia Guild
/n
- Professional Association of Teachers of Students with Specific Learning Difficulties (PATOSS)
/n
/n
Note: Roles are strictly compliant with national DSA quality assurance frameworks.
/n
Desirable Experience & Skills:
/n
/n
- Proven experience supporting individuals with SpLDs in an educational setting.
/n
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and active listening skills.
/n
- Strong caseload management, reliability, and commitment to confidentiality.
/n
