£28 per hour plus accrued holiday pay at £3.38 per hour.

As part of the eligibility criteria for this role, we require candidates to have completed the relevant National Autistic Society (NAS) training modules. If you have not yet completed these modules, don't worry - we are happy to support you in obtaining them. You will be provided with direct access to the required training materials. The training costs approximately £180 per hour, and successful completion is necessary prior to commencing the role. Upon completion, you will receive a certificate from the National Autistic Society, which can serve as a valuable addition to your professional profile. This certification is widely recognised and can strengthen your CV when applying for roles that support individuals with Autism, ADHD, and other neurodiverse conditions.

Randstad Student Support are recruiting for Specialist-one-to-one Study Skills Support Workers to work with autistic students studying in University of Creative Arts.

As a Specialist-one-to-one Study Skills Support Worker, you will provide learning support and academic guidance. This includes creating an individual learning plan that has been tailored to the student's needs and encourages them to become an independent learner. As a Specialist-one-to-one Study Skills Support Worker, you are required to support students to:

  • Develop independence
  • Build on strengths and learning strategies
  • Create strategies around organisation and time management
  • Create action plans to stay on track with studies
  • Build on research skills - widening knowledge by using a variety of sources
  • Distinguish appropriate sources and how to correctly use references
  • Build on comprehension skills within reading and writing

Desirable skills include:

  • Experience of working with autistic clients
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to identify ways of helping students to build on their learning strengths whilst maintaining a confidential and professional working relationship
  • Punctuality and reliability
  • Good organisational skills
  • Ability to manage a caseload of students
