At Randstad, we are delighted to partner with a leading specialist in asbestos and environmental compliance-to recruit a dedicated Technical Reviewer to join their Central Technical Review team in Newcastle-under-Lyme.
- Location: Newcastle-Under-Lyme (ST5)
- Reporting to: Technical Review Supervisor
- Position Type: Full-Time
- Generous Leave: 25 days holiday (plus 1 additional day per year of service).

About the Role
As a Technical Reviewer, you will play a vital role in upholding the highest standards of safety, accuracy, and compliance.
You will be responsible for assessing the quality of technical surveying and sampling data, handwritten plans, and in-house CAD drawings-ensuring all reports are technically flawless before they are issued to clients.
Key Responsibilities
- Assess the technical accuracy of report data, certificates, and plans inaccordance with in-house standards, regulatory requirements, and UKAS accreditation standards.
- Liaise directly with Project Managers, field-based staff, and laboratory teams regarding amendments, CAD/handwritten plans, and sample analysis.
- Identify, record, and report potential data trends or non-conformances to relevant stakeholders and the Technical Review Supervisor.
- Communicate and resolve data issues proactively to ensure zero delays in final report delivery to clients.
- What We Are Looking For
- Industry Insight (or Eagerness to Learn): Experience in a similar role within the asbestos industry is ideal, though candidates with a strong drive to learn through research are encouraged to apply.
- Data Processing Experience: Proven background in checking, processing, and validating data with high accuracy.
- IT Proficiency: Comfortable working with Microsoft Office applications.
- Attention to Detail: A meticulous mindset with high diligence, concentration, and a methodical approach to work.
- Communication Skills: Clear and effective communication skills to liaise smoothly with managers, laboratory staff, and field teams.
- Time Management: Strong personal organization skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet tight project deadlines and KPIs.
