A life changing and inspiring specialist setting local to you is looking for a 1:1/small group Teaching Assistant to support SEN learners on their school and college site. Learners are aged between 5 and 16 years and have moderate to severe learning difficulties including Autism and PMLD. Applicants must have a background/experience of SEN and must be able to support learning across all subject areas.

This is a fabulous setting invested in meeting the needs of all learners through a broad and creative curriculum which fully utilises their extensive facilities including sensory rooms, hydrotherapy and outdoor learning spaces. This school can offer unbeatable career progression opportunities; this position is permanent, term time and available to start now. This opportunity is needed Monday-Friday 08:30-4:30pm.

Requirements:

  • Any experience level will be considered, ideal candidates will be flexible, resilient and have a positive approach to supporting learners with SEN (direct SEN experience is not essential)
  • Relevant experience/Knowledge of working with children or young people
  • Maths and English GCSE or equivalent
  • Eligibility to work in the UK

Responsibilities:

  • Supporting KS1- KS5 SEN learners on a 1:1, small group and classroom basis
  • Communicating with parents and carers over pupils' progress and participating in departmental meetings, parents' evenings and whole school training events
