Our client is seeking an energised Tax Manager to oversee tax compliance, risk management, and strategic tax reporting across their UK business entities.
Operating as a core partner to the global tax team and UK business functions, you will drive corporate tax efficiency, safeguard compliance, and optimise cash flow for the division.
- Core Responsibilities
- Prepare corporate tax returns, financial statement tax disclosures, and quarterly group forecasting for all UK entities in strict accordance with local and international tax laws.
- Support key UK tax advisory initiatives, including R&D tax relief claims, capital allowances, and group payment/loss-sharing arrangements, working alongside external advisers where appropriate.
- Advise on cross-border business transactions, double taxation treaties, withholding taxes, and VAT, while maintaining and implementing the group's transfer pricing policies.
- Manage third‑party relationships for UK tax audits and closely monitor UK government policy developments to ensure all commercial implications are effectively communicated to business leaders.
- Collaborate with FP&A, Treasury, Legal, and Business Finance teams to provide technical tax accounting guidance, protect cash flow, and enhance the overall UK tax control framework.
- Required Skills & Competencies
- Full ACA, CTA, or equivalent professional tax qualification.
- Minimum 4 years of post‑qualification UK corporate tax experience, ideally gained within a multinational corporate environment or a leading professional services firm (Big 4 background is advantageous).
- In‑depth understanding of direct UK tax legislation, transfer pricing models, and direct/indirect tax applications. R&D tax credit experience is desirable.
- Strong systems orientation paired with advanced Microsoft Excel capabilities.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with a proven track record of translating complex technical tax concepts for non‑tax stakeholders.
