Are you passionate about supporting young people with additional needs? Do you want to make a lasting difference in students' lives? We are seeking dedicated Teaching Assistants to join a team of professionals supporting students with Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs) in secondary schools across Shoreham-By-Sea. This is a rewarding opportunity for individuals who are committed to inclusive education and keen to support students in reaching their full potential.
Responsibilities
- Provide 1:1 or small group support to students with EHCPs
- Work collaboratively with class teachers and SENCOs to implement personalised learning strategies
- Assist in the planning and delivery of tailored learning activities
- Promote student independence, confidence, and engagement
- Support with social, emotional, and behavioural needs, where appropriate
Ideal candidates
- Experience working with children or young people with special educational needs (SEN), particularly in a secondary school setting
- Patience, empathy, and a positive attitude
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- A flexible and proactive approach to supporting diverse learning needs
- Relevant qualifications (e.g., CACHE Level 2/3, or equivalent) are desirable but not essential. Full training and ongoing support will be provided.
