We are working with an established regional main contractor that has been operating across the South and M4 corridor for over 50 years. They have recently opened a new office near Newbury and are looking to recruit a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join their existing commercial team.

The company has experienced significant growth over the last decade, working with both repeat and new clients in the commercial, industrial, education, and local authority sectors. Projects typically range up to £30 million and are located in Dorset, Hampshire, and West Sussex, involving local projects with trusted local supply chains.

The role involves collaborating with pre-construction teams and directors at contract award stages to handle procurement and initial cost planning. You will also manage packages on-site, overseeing financial matters such as payments, valuations, variation accounts, CVRs, forecasting, and planning across multiple projects. Managing multiple projects and junior team members will be part of your responsibilities.

An important aspect of this role is staff development. You will have the opportunity to manage your workload flexibly within an agreed framework, make autonomous decisions suited to each project, and contribute to training and mentoring junior and trainee members of the team.
