Key Duties- Establish warm, caring, and supportive relationships with pupils to ensure they feel safe, secure, and ready to learn.
- Encourage personal development and independence in daily tasks and social interactions.
- Assist the Class Teacher with the day-to-day running of the classroom and adapt to the evolving needs of the school.
- Support the cognitive, social, emotional, behavioural, and physical development of each pupil.
- Adapt to various tasks to ensure smooth school operations. Full training will be provided for occasions where physical intervention may be required.
- Minimum GCSE Grade 4 (or equivalent) in English and Maths.
- Prior experience working within a special educational needs (SEN) or special school environment is preferred but not essential.
- A willingness to undertake free training opportunities, for example Level 2 award in supporting teaching and learning in schools.
- Able to provide your own vehicle preferred due to the site's semi-rural location.
- Eligibility to work in the UK.
- The candidate will be required to undergo a full enhanced DBS check.
- Term time working only.
