Key Responsibilities
- Deliver High-Quality Teaching: Plan and teach well-structured, engaging, and challenging Chemistry and Science lessons that foster a genuine love for learning.
- Drive Student Progress: Set high expectations, build on prior knowledge, and adapt your teaching methods to support students of all backgrounds, abilities, and needs (including SEND, High Ability, and EAL).
- Champion the Academy Vision: Actively support our safe, respectful, and stimulating learning environment while promoting and safeguarding the welfare of all students.
- Collaborative Development: Contribute to dynamic schemes of work and collaborate closely with additional classroom support staff to ensure no student is left behind.
What We Are Looking For
- A qualified teacher who meets the current DfE Teachers' Standards.
- Secure Subject Knowledge: Deep understanding of the Science/Chemistry curriculum with the ability to address misunderstandings and promote high standards of literacy and articulacy.
- Data-Informed Practitioners: Ability to make accurate and productive use of both formative and summative assessments to track individual student targets and guide their next steps.
- Excellent Classroom Management: Clear, fair, and consistent routines that align with our positive behaviour policies to maintain a focused learning environment.
