Randstad Education is seeking experienced and dedicated SEN Teachers for opportunities within schools. In this role, you will be responsible for cultivating a nurturing, secure, and stimulating environment where children with special educational needs can truly thrive. This is a permanent position and you will be required to support five days a week Monday‑Friday inline with school hours.
Responsibilities
- Plan, prepare and deliver engaging lessons that meet the diverse learning needs of SEN students
- Develop, implement and review Individual Education Plans (IEPs) for pupils, setting clear targets and monitoring progress
- Use a range of teaching strategies and resources to support students' learning and development
- Assess pupils' abilities and progress regularly, adapting teaching methods as necessary
- Collaborate with parents, carers and external agencies (e.g., therapists, psychologists) to provide holistic support
- Manage classroom behaviour and promote positive social and emotional development
- Maintain accurate records and prepare reports on pupil progress for parents and senior management
- Participate in professional development to stay updated on SEN best practices and legislation
