Overview

Are you looking to join a welcoming, interactive learning and care environment? This established adult centre/school supports young adults 18+ years on the Autistic spectrum and with related needs. The setting offers a broad, engaging curriculum in a day and residential context, with a long-standing leadership team and a focus on collaboration with staff, learners and parents. A Part time Learning Support Worker is sought to join the team and provide support ASAP.

The role is 3-4 days per week (Monday–Friday), 9:00–17:00, and involves 1:1 work with students as well as support in class with small groups. The centre offers extensive training and opportunities to pursue career development qualifications.

Responsibilities

  • Supporting young people with complex needs on a 1:1 basis, in small groups, and within whole-class settings as part of their education activities/objectives.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Level 2 Diploma in teaching and learning (desirable, not essential).
  • Relevant support work or teaching assistant experience; voluntary or paid experience considered. Must be able to provide references.
  • Eligibility to work in the UK.
