What You'll Do
- Providing tailored support to students with SEN, helping them access the curriculum and achieve their full potential.
- Assisting with lesson preparation and creating an inclusive learning environment.
- Supervising students during activities, break times, and school events.
- Working individually or with small groups to deliver targeted interventions and extra help.
- Managing classroom dynamics to ensure a safe, positive, and orderly learning space.
- Communicating effectively with teachers, parents, and other school staff to support student progress.
- Adhering to all school policies and procedures, maintaining professionalism at all times.
What We're Looking For
- At least 1 year of experience working with children, specifically within an educational setting, with a focus on Special Educational Needs.
- Exceptional patience, empathy, and enthusiasm when working with diverse learners.
- The ability to work effectively both independently and collaboratively within a team.
- A strong capacity to adapt quickly to different school environments, student needs, and classroom challenges.
- A deep commitment to providing a positive and enriching learning experience for all students.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, allowing you to build rapport with students and colleagues.
- A relevant teaching assistant qualification is desirable, especially one related to SEN support.
