Contract: Permanent, Full-Time (includes local on-call rotation)

Are you an experienced care leader ready to shape high-quality support teams? We are seeking a dynamic Services Manager to oversee, design, and develop both new and existing social care services across Edinburgh and West Lothian.

Key Responsibilities

  • Leadership: Line manage Team Facilitators, providing formal supervision and appraisals to build autonomous support teams.
  • Operations & Quality: Monitor service quality through rigorous audits and Quality Assurance systems to meet SSSC and Care Inspectorate standards.
  • Financial Oversight: Manage Individual Service Funds (ISF) and ensure efficient financial administration.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Act as the primary contact for local authorities, healthcare professionals, and families.

Requirements (Essential)

  • Qualifications: Management or relevant qualification required for SSSC and Care Inspectorate registration.
  • Experience: Proven success managing social care services and directly supervising teams, with a track record of implementing operational plans.
  • Knowledge: In-depth understanding of the Personalisation agenda, Self-Directed Support (SDS) legislation, and the Scottish regulatory framework.
  • Skills: Highly organized, IT literate (Office 365), and capable of managing complex workloads under tight deadlines. Voluntary sector experience or learning disability management qualifications are highly desirable.
