We are seeking an empathetic, adaptable SEN English Teacher to deliver engaging literacy lessons in a nurturing special needs environment. You will tailor core skills, adapt learning for secondary pupils (including Year 10) operating below age expectations, and build student confidence.
Hours & Schedule
Full-time, term-time only with 6 INSET days. Standard hours are 8:45-16:00 (Mon, Tue, Thu), 8:45-16:30 (Wed), and 8:45-15:30 (Fri), with occasional additional hours when required.
Essential Requirements
Must hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) specialising in English up to GCSE and Functional Skills. Requires proven experience with secondary SEN learners, knowledge of the SEN Code of Practice, and digital literacy skills.
Key Logistics
Applicants must have permanent right to work in the UK (no visa sponsorship available) and pass an Enhanced DBS check. Personal transport is required due to the school's remote location.
