Exciting permanent care opportunities with Almond Blossom (Edinburgh & Midlothian). Almond Blossom is a homecare company with over 9 years in operation and is recruiting for multiple permanent positions. There are opportunities for internal career progression, promotion, and overtime to boost earnings. Office base in Granton/EH17.

Locations Covered: City of Edinburgh & Midlothian (office base in Granton/EH17).

Available Roles & Pay:

  • Support Workers: £13.45 per hour (Base: £25,178 – £26,208/year). With overtime available, average workers do 52 hours/week, boosting salaries to £37,000+.
  • Senior Support Workers: £14.00 per hour (SVQ Level 3 required).
  • Care Coordinators: £15.00 per hour (office-based role managing care runs with some field travel).
  • Registered Care Manager: Circa £40,000 per annum (full-time leadership role).

Schedule (Support Workers / Seniors):

  • Contract: 36 hours per week (Full-Time).
  • Shifts: Flexible 8, 10, or 12-hour shifts available between 07:00 – 22:00.
  • Flexibility: Full hours can frequently be condensed into 3 to 4 days.
  • Visits: Comfortable with variable visit lengths (30 mins, 1 hour, or longer).

General Requirements:

  • Right to Work (CRITICAL): You must hold permanent, restriction-free Right to Work in the UK. No sponsorship or visa transfers are possible.
  • Experience: Previous experience in the social care sector is required for support roles. Coordinators must have experience planning care runs, and Managers must be highly experienced and SSSC registered (male candidates with local ties are highly preferred for the Manager role). Both male and female applicants are welcome for support roles.

Transport & Location Rules:

  • Drivers: Must have a valid UK license and vehicle. You can cover EH3, EH4, EH5, EH10, EH16, EH17, and Midlothian.
  • Walkers: Postcode limits apply. You must live in or easily commute to EH4, EH5, EH10, EH16, or EH17 for dedicated walking runs. (Strictly no walking runs in Midlothian or EH3).
