Ideally located for those using public transport, the nursery is approximately a 20-minute flat walk from Three Bridges Railway Station or a quick 4-minute drive. The owner is a hands‑on leader who is deeply invested in the nursery's success and the wellbeing of the team. Day-to-Day Responsibilities
- Team Leadership: Providing daily mentorship and guidance to practitioners within your room, identifying training needs, and leading 1:1 sessions.
- Educational Excellence: Overseeing all planning and provision to ensure a "curiosity approach" is taken, providing age-appropriate activities that meet individual child needs.
- Operational Management: Deploying staff and resources effectively to maintain statutory ratios at all times.
- Safeguarding & Health: Acting as a vigilant protector for all children, ensuring safeguarding procedures, daily risk assessments, and health and safety policies are strictly followed.
- Parental Partnership: Building and maintaining relationships of trust with families, ensuring continuous communication regarding child progress.
What We Are Looking For
- Qualifications: You must hold a full and relevant Level 3 qualification (Level 4 or above highly desirable).
- Experience: Proven experience in a senior or Room Leader capacity, with a track record of "gold standard" practice.
- Characteristics: A creative and reflective leader who can implement new ideas and act as a professional role model for the team.
- Commute: Suitable for candidates based in Crawley or those with easy access to Three Bridges and Crawley transport links.
