- Shift Patterns & Hours
- Hours: 45+ hours per week.
- Flexibility Required: Ability to work 5‑6 days per week.
- Shifts: Typically between 07:00 - 22:00 (including potential for split shifts, long days, and night shifts).
Key Responsibilities
- Direct Care & Support: Provide high‑quality, person‑centered care to older adults within a care home setting, strictly following personalized care plans.
- Daily Living Assistance: Assist residents with personal hygiene, dressing, and mobility.
- Medication Administration: Safely administer prescribed medications and closely monitor resident well‑being.
- Safety & Teamwork: Maintain a safe, supportive living environment, managing moving and handling tasks safely, and undertaking lone working duties where required.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Experience: Minimum of 1 year of experience supporting older adults in a care setting (previous care home experience is highly preferred).
- Core Skills: Proficient in personal care, safe moving and handling, and medication administration.
- Location Flexibility: Previous experience with island or remote placements is a major plus, but not essential.
- Driving License: A driving license is preferred due to travel distances, but not mandatory.
