Randstad sourceright are recruiting on behalf of Siemens Energy for a Manufacturing Quality Technician. Provide contract support to our quality and inspection operations. This role plays a key part in ensuring product conformity, strengthening inspection processes, and driving continuous improvement across the manufacturing workflow. The successful candidate will contribute to process optimisation, inspection report validation, and the ongoing development of our quality management systems.

You will play a crucial role in ensuring inspection accuracy, strengthening quality systems, and supporting high standards across the organisation.

You will be instrumental in enhancing operational consistency, compliance, and overall quality standards within the inspection area.
Key Responsibilities- Quality Systems & Compliance
- Ensure integrity and adherence to best industry practices across all quality activities.
- Support CAPA (corrective and preventive action) processes to resolve issues and prevent recurrence.
- Contribute to internal and external audit readiness and support the execution of audits.
- Create and revise SOPs, procedures, and related QMS documentation to strengthen operational consistency and compliance.
- Process Improvement & Operational Excellence
- Identify, lead, and support process improvement initiatives, focusing on the inspection area.
- Execute and refine 5S and TPM routines within the department.
- Develop departmental KPIs and OEE metrics to enhance performance visibility and drive improvement.
- Inspection Oversight & Reporting
- Review and approve inspection reports, verifying adherence to quality, accuracy, and compliance standards.
- Support the management, organization, and continuous enhancement of the Piweb inspection database and associated workflows.
- Act as a subject matter expert, providing guidance to colleagues on inspection and manufacturing quality matters.
- Broad experience in manufacturing quality, including handling nonconformance, inspection reporting, and reviewing/approving inspection documentation.
- Strong knowledge of continuous improvement methodologies such as 5S and TPM.
- Proficiency in writing, updating, and maintaining SOPs and work instructions.
- High level of diligence and a commitment to consistently delivering high-quality work.
- A collaborative approach, with the ability to work across departments to identify and implement effective solutions.
- Competence with IT systems, including ERP platforms and Microsoft Office.
- Experience with inspection of castings, additive manufacturing, and machined parts.
- Familiarity with SAP ERP systems.
- Experience with the Zeiss Piweb inspection database.
- Knowledge of NADCAP procedures and experience supporting audit participation.
