Join us on the groundbreaking Net Zero Teeside project, a monumental £300m initiative delivering cutting-edge reinforced concrete structures! As a Site Engineer, you'll be at the heart of this ambitious endeavor, providing vital engineering support for the construction of the turbine hall, condenser plant, and carbon capture facility. Reporting to the Sub Agent or Construction Manager, you'll play a key role in bringing this vision to life.

Your responsibilities will span:

  • Ensuring a safe and high-quality work environment by actively identifying and addressing safety, environmental, and quality concerns
  • Taking ownership of site safety by challenging unsafe acts and conducting necessary observations
  • Mastering the art of setting out, including complex concrete structures and associated earthworks
  • Providing crucial support in materials management, from take-offs to call-off orders
  • Developing and implementing Inspection and Test Plans, ensuring adherence and clear communication
  • Collaborating with the materials team to drive progress on-site
  • Contributing to a robust site inspection rota
  • Demonstrating flexibility with the ability to work unsocial hours, including weekends
  • Understanding and reporting on key performance indicators (KPIs)
  • Thriving in a team environment, fostering a positive attitude and effectively communicating technical information to operatives
  • Contributing to the 3-weekly programme, identifying efficiencies and proactively informing the site team
  • Holding a CSCS card relevant to the role and a current driving license
  • Mentoring and guiding junior and graduate engineers in their professional development
