About the Role
Randstad Sourceright is recruiting on behalf of Siemens Energy. We are looking for a solution-focused, analytical Senior Operational Buyer who thrives on working with large volumes of information, complex products, and diverse suppliers. This role requires someone confident in analysis, Excel, PowerBI, and a lean approach to procurement, who can work independently and deliver solutions rather than just operational tasks.
Key Responsibilities
- Procurement & Supplier Management: Oversee a diverse supplier portfolio, drive part sourcing activities, negotiate price adjustments, and resolve invoicing or payment discrepancies.
- Operational Efficiency: Manage workqueues, ensure timely PO issuance, and contribute to globally defined procurement methods, processes, and systems.
- Internal Customer Collaboration: Partner with MRPCs and requisitioners to ensure excellent customer service and early engagement.
- Supplier Development & Compliance: Support supplier qualification, evaluation, selection, and ongoing development, maintaining transparency and high procurement quality.
- Documentation & Reporting: Maintain records, update supplier evaluation systems, and support Procurement Business Plan activities.
Requirements
- Strong experience with SAP transactional systems (PS1 ATLAS module in a production environment).
- Advanced Excel skills and confidence working with large data sets.
- 5+ years of experience in Direct Procurement.
- Experience in aerospace or industrial applications preferred; knowledge of complex products such as castings and forgings is a plus.
- A proactive, solution-oriented mindset—able to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Familiarity with PowerBI or other analytics tools.
- Ability to operate effectively in a complex, fast-changing global organization.
- Bachelor’s degree.
- Advanced/Fluent English.
