Job title: Senior Manager - Portfolio Control and Monitoring Location: London (12 days per month in office) Contract length: 6 months Randstad Sourceright, a leading provider of RPO & MSP Recruitment Services is currently seeking an experienced Senior Manager – Portfolio Control & Monitoring to join their Global Investment Compliance team on a 6-month contract basis. This role is focused on high-level interpretation and extraction of technical investment restrictions. Working alongside a dedicated coding team, you will ensure investment mandates, prospectuses, and client guidelines are accurately structured and aligned across the firm’s investment monitoring controls. Some of the duties will include but are not limited to: Key Responsibilities * Guideline Interpretation & Onboarding: Extract and interpret complex technical investment guidelines and restrictions from client mandates, IMAs and prospectuses, translating requirements into structured specifications for system coding * Guideline Look-Back Programme: Support the strategic Look-Back Review Programme by collaborating with internal stakeholders and external advisory partners to facilitate comprehensive guideline reviews across existing funds * Quality Assurance & Control: Perform detailed quality reviews of completed guideline interpretations and gap analyses to maintain consistency and compliance standards * Central Repository Management: Enhance and maintain the centralized investment guideline repository, ensuring all reviewed interpretations and supporting documents are fully traceable and audited * Cross-Functional Stakeholder Engagement: Liaise regularly with Portfolio Managers, Product, Legal, and Client Services teams to resolve complex rule interpretations and ensure operational alignment Experience & Qualifications * Asset Management Experience: Strong background in investment compliance, portfolio control, or guideline interpretation within the investment management industry * Technical Interpretation: Demonstrated skill in analyzing complex legal, regulatory and portfolio documentation without needing direct hands-on coding experience * System Knowledge: Familiarity with major investment management and compliance platforms such as Bloomberg, Aladdin or Charles River * Regulatory Familiarity: Good working knowledge of key international regulatory framework regimes (e.g., UCITS, FCA, SEC, SFC) * Professional Qualifications: CFA designation or a Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance or Commerce is preferred
