The predicted salary is between 30000 - 42000 Β£ per year.

Location: Unit 19, St Andrews Way, London, E3 3PA (Hybrid after training)

Contract Length: 6 months (with potential extension/temp-to-perm opportunity)

Shift Pattern: 4 days on / 4 days off (includes nights and weekends); Training: Mon-Fri, 9am–5pm

This role is essential in supporting the operation and maintenance of London's critical road charging and traffic management infrastructure. The successful candidates will play a vital role in monitoring live traffic systems, ensuring fault management, and providing first-line support to meet strict service levels.

Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and log incidents through the fault management system
  • Carry out live checks of 400–600 traffic cameras, ensuring all systems are operational
  • Act as first point of contact for stakeholders (e.g. Outstations, Comms team, Field Operators)
  • Escalate incidents to the 2nd and 3rd line teams as required
  • Navigate and operate the Instation System UI to troubleshoot issues
  • Ensure compliance with SLA and business-critical metrics
  • Register faults and assist callers with routing their issues appropriately
  • Support continuous improvement by providing system/process feedback
  • Adhere to Quality Management, Health and Safety, and Security protocols

Key Skills / Experience Required:

Essential:

  • Experience in a 1st Line Support or Service Management Centre environment
  • Familiarity with IT ticketing systems and incident management processes
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications
  • High attention to detail – especially when reviewing camera feeds and data logs
  • Strong communication and team-working skills
  • Ability to work shifts, including weekends and nights

Desirable:

  • Experience working in an IT/data centre or technical operations environment
  • Knowledge of traffic or transport infrastructure systems
  • Previous work in a fault-detection or real-time monitoring setting

Additional Information:

  • Training: 4–6 weeks in-office (Mon–Fri, 9am–5pm)
  • Post-training: Half of shifts WFH, on a 4-on / 4-off rotating schedule
  • Shifts:
  • Day: 07:30am – 6:45pm
  • Night: 19:30pm – 06:45am (Every 2 weeks)
  • Overtime: Available to cover sickness/absence
  • Team Structure:
    • 1st Line Team: Expanding from 12 to 16
    • Support from 2nd and 3rd Line Teams
    • Supervisor coverage during weekdays
