As a Grade 3 Fabricator/Welder at Caterpillar, you'll have the chance to collaborate with and contribute to a team of experienced Fabricator/Welders, enhancing your skills and building your career. Job Duties/Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:
- Weld, fabricate, and tack components and sub-assemblies of generator sets.
- Operate manual and automatic MIG welding machines.
- Repair and rework production parts.
- Compliance with safety and quality standards.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives.
- Interprets prints, plan methods and sequence of work.
- Compliance with 5S programme and other business improvement initiatives.
- Uphold Caterpillar's Values in Action.
- Any other appropriate duties.
Essential Qualifications:
- NVQ Level 2 in Fabrication/Welding or minimum 12 months experience.
- Able to understand and follow detailed verbal instructions and perform basic maths.
- Ability to conduct the physical aspects of the position, including tasks performed at height.
- Ability to work reasonable amounts of overtime and various shift patterns.
Desired Qualifications:
- Experience in lean manufacturing.
- Ability to use slinging equipment and cranes to move materials.
- Ability to use measuring tools such as tape measures and squares to ensure work accuracy and compliance with specifications.
- Attention to detail to meet quality standards.
- Ability to prioritise and organise sequence of work.

- Day Shift - £14.27/hr.
- Night Shift - £19.03/hr.
