Maintenance Crafts Worker - Effluent Process Plant
Location: Ford Halewood Transmissions, Liverpool
Salary: £46,587.88 per annum
Contract: Permanent
Hours: Monday to Thursday, 7:00am-3:30pm and Friday, 7:00am-12:30pm
Please note: Flexibility to work shift patterns may be required.
Randstad are delighted to be working in partnership with Ford Halewood Transmissions to recruit for a Maintenance Crafts Worker - Effluent Process Plant.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Electrical or Mechanical Maintenance professional to join Ford's Halewood site, supporting the maintenance and repair of all equipment associated with the Effluent Process Plant.
The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the effective operation, reliability and performance of the effluent plant, while also supporting maintenance across comfort cooling systems and other indirect plant areas when required.
The Role
As a Maintenance Crafts Worker, you will plan and carry out preventative maintenance, identify root causes of breakdowns, support continuous improvement activity and help ensure equipment is maintained to a high standard across the plant.
This is a varied role that requires a flexible and versatile approach, as duties may evolve in line with future plant requirements.
Key Responsibilities
Your duties will include, but will not be limited to:
- Planning and carrying out preventative maintenance on machines and associated equipment.
- Maintaining electrical, PLC, refrigeration and mechanical systems.
- Taking and analysing effluent samples.
- Collating and analysing preventative maintenance data to plan required replacements, repairs and overhauls.
- Overhauling machine parts where possible to reduce the need for replacement parts.
- Identifying and implementing machine improvement actions to support performance and OEE improvements.
- Investigating breakdowns and implementing root cause fixes.
- Supporting maintenance improvement schedules and 5 Why analysis.
- Participating in Kaizen activity focused on safety, environment, cost reduction and continuous improvement.
- Maintaining plant comfort cooling systems.
- Supporting other indirect plant areas as required.
Training
To support the requirements of the role, the successful candidate will be required to complete training in the following areas:
- F-Gas regulations
- MEWP training
- Confined Spaces training
What We're Looking For
The ideal candidate will have:
- A completed Electrical or Mechanical Level 4 Apprenticeship.
- Previous maintenance experience within a process plant environment.
- Experience working with pumps, motors and associated control systems.
- Electrical, mechanical, PLC and/or refrigeration maintenance experience.
- A proactive approach to fault finding, root cause analysis and continuous improvement.
- The ability to work independently and as part of a wider maintenance team.
- A flexible and versatile approach to supporting different areas of the plant.
