In this role, you will be responsible for the welding and fabrication of car bodies and sub-assemblies.
Location: Eastleigh PAYEDays £23.44Afternoon £28.14Umbrella Days £31.13Afternoon £37.37 Shifts: Days: 6.30 am - 3.00pm (Mon - Thur) 6.30 am - 12.00 (Friday)Backs: 3.00 pm - 11.30pm Mon - Thur 12.00 pm - 5.30pm (Friday)Key Responsibilities Perform various welding and fabrication tasks, including coded welding, in accordance with WPS, SOPs, and associated documents.
Carry out pre- and post-weld inspections, ensuring full accountability for weld quality and correcting issues to the required standard.
Prepare weld surfaces, control weld equipment/consumables, and complete all necessary weld records.
Support the team by designing and delivering training to colleagues, sharing knowledge, and deputizing for the Team Leader when required.
Lead problem-solving activities, minimize waste, and participate in Kaizen and 5S improvement activities.
Adhere to Health, Safety Environment procedures, ensure correct extraction is used, and maintain high standards of housekeeping.
