Looking for your next opportunity as a Coded Welder with expertise in both TIG and MIG Welding? We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Weld Technician to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for the welding and fabrication of car bodies and sub-assemblies.

Job type: Temporary - Ongoing

Location: Eastleigh

Pay Rate:

  • Days: £21.31
  • Backs: £21.31 + shift pay

Shifts:

  • Days: 6.30 am - 3.00 pm (Mon - Thur), 6.30 am - 12.00 pm (Friday)
  • Backs: 3.00 pm - 11.30 pm (Mon - Thur), 12.00 pm - 5.30 pm (Friday)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform various welding and fabrication tasks, including coded welding, in accordance with WPS, SOPs, and associated documents.
  • Carry out pre- and post-weld inspections, ensuring full accountability for weld quality and correcting issues to the required standard.
  • Prepare weld surfaces, control weld equipment/consumables, and complete all necessary weld records.
  • Support the team by designing and delivering training to colleagues, sharing knowledge, and deputising for the Team Leader when required.
  • Lead problem-solving activities.
