We're looking for a skilled Forklift Operator who takes pride in keeping the gears of commerce turning. If you're a safety-first professional with the finesse to navigate tight aisles and the drive to hit daily targets, we want you on our team in Peterlee.
The Role
As a key member of our logistics team, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of industrial trucks to ensure our supply chain keeps moving. This is a 24-month fixed-term assignment running until November 2027, offering a consistent schedule of 36.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate a Counterbalance forklift to move materials throughout the warehouse environment.
- Navigate tight storage aisles with precision, ensuring the safety of yourself and your colleagues at all times.
- Maintain high performance and output consistency to reach daily operational targets.
- Conduct routine equipment checks and adhere to strict site safety protocols.
- Communicate effectively with the wider logistics team to ensure smooth material flow.
Qualifications
- At least 1 year of professional FLT/Forklift Truck operating experience.
- Hold a valid Counterbalance licence (note: licences that are out of date are accepted).
- Possess an accredited certification (e.g., RTITB, ITSAAR). Please note: In-house certificates are not accepted.

- Day Shift: £14.13 - £16.22 per hour
- Afternoon Shift (20% premium): £16.96 - £19.46 per hour
- Night Shift (35% premium): £19.08 - £21.90 per hour
- Overtime 1.5 (Mon-Sat): £21.20 - £24.33 per hour
- Overtime 2 (Sundays): £28.26 - £32.44 per hour
- Shift Flexibility: Rotating shifts spanning Days (08:00-16:00), Afternoons (16:00-00:00), and Nights (00:00-08:00), with early finishes on Fridays.
