An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Tax Accountant to join this dynamic finance team to lead all tax matters within a leading global organisation. They provide an excellent work culture with people at the forefront, investing in them to provide ongoing career opportunities.
Key responsibilities of the Group Tax Accountant job will include:
- Preparation and responsibility for all year-end tax reporting, tax papers, and to advise on tax notes for inclusion in statutory accounts
- Preparing annual external corporation tax returns and computations in compliance with laws and regulations within timeframes
- Responsible for monthly PAYE/NI/CIS reconciliations and submission of payments to HMRC and Irish Tax authorities
- Build relationships and interact with internal and external customers to provide excellent planning, consulting and expertise
- Provide VAT advice on a range of issues, and review VAT returns
- Provide corporate tax support on projects involving business, organisational and system changes
The ideal Group Tax Manager will possess the following attributes/skills:
- Qualified tax professional
- Demonstrable working experience in a tax role
- Excellent knowledge of tax accounting and tax compliance and ability to understand and work through complex tax positions especially in relation to Corporation Tax & VAT
- Strong systems knowledge, in particular Microsoft Excel
